With a remarkable 35-year career in optometry, Dr. Janet Walsh is dedicated to providing exceptional vision care at Memphis Primary Eye Care. Inspired by personal family experiences with macular degeneration, Dr. Walsh chose a career that allows her to protect and enhance the ocular health of her patients. Her approach is deeply personal; she values the long-standing relationships built with families, often caring for multiple generations. When she's not in the clinic, Dr. Walsh can be found in her garden, immersed in a book, or enjoying time with her family. Dr. Walsh finds joy in every aspect of her work, especially in helping patients discover the world through better sight.

Devon discovered her passion for optometry after working in her first optical position and quickly fell in love with the field. As an optician, she enjoys helping patients find eyewear that not only improves their vision but also makes them feel confident and comfortable.

She believes that attention to detail and truly listening to patients’ needs are the most important qualities for success in her role. By carefully understanding each patient’s concerns, preferences, and lifestyle, Devon ensures they receive eyewear solutions tailored specifically to them. Her willingness to continue learning and growing in the field allows her to provide the best possible service every day.

Outside of the office, Devon enjoys reading and watching baseball. She also loves shopping at local favorites like TJ Maxx, Target, and Bass Pro, and spending time outdoors at Shelby Farms.

What Devon appreciates most about working in the office is the supportive environment created by her coworkers and the wonderful patients she serves. The most rewarding part of her job is seeing a patient’s reaction when they pick up their new glasses—watching their face light up with happiness and confidence makes her work truly fulfilling.

Khandice serves as our dedicated Office Manager. She was drawn to the field of optometry because it uniquely combines healthcare, problem-solving, and meaningful long-term patient relationships. She values the fact that vision care can make an immediate, tangible difference in someone’s daily life—whether helping a patient see clearly for the first time or supporting them through ongoing eye health management. Khandice also appreciates how optometry blends science and technology with personal interaction, allowing her to continuously learn while working closely with patients and her team.

As Office Manager, Khandice believes strong organization, leadership, and communication are key to success. She keeps daily operations running smoothly—from scheduling and insurance workflows to inventory management and staff coordination. With a focus on accountability, teamwork, and attention to detail, she ensures that both patients and staff feel supported in a fast-paced clinical environment. Her empathy and problem-solving skills help create a positive experience for everyone who walks through the door.

Outside of work, Khandice’s favorite role is being a mom. She enjoys traveling to different cities to support her daughter’s competitive cheerleading events and loves spending quality time with her family. Locally, she enjoys exploring Shelby Farms, especially the walking trails and family-friendly activities.

Khandice believes our office stands out because of its commitment to high-quality, personalized patient care and a strong, supportive team culture. Pamela was inspired to pursue a career in optometry because of the opportunity to help people see the world more clearly while continually learning about new technologies in eye care. She enjoys being part of a field that blends patient care with innovation and advances that directly improve patients’ quality of life.

As an Optometric Technician, Pamela understands the importance of strong communication skills and precision. She takes pride in ensuring that testing and measurements are accurate while helping patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. Her attention to detail and commitment to clear communication help create a smooth and positive clinical experience.

Pamela encourages anyone considering a career in optometry to shadow or volunteer in a practice to truly understand the day-to-day responsibilities. She believes problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn are essential for success in the field.

Outside of work, Pamela enjoys listening to music, reading on her phone, and spending time babysitting her niece and nephew. She loves shopping at Wolfchase Mall, TJ Maxx, and Target, and enjoys visiting the zoo and local parks around the Greater Memphis area.

The most rewarding part of her job is hearing patients say they had a great experience before they leave—knowing she helped make their visit comfortable and enjoyable always puts a smile on her face.

Priscila was inspired to pursue a career in optometry because she loves learning new things in new fields, and she thrives in roles that allow her to make a positive impact on patients from the moment they walk through the door.

Being bilingual and the first face patients see, Priscila understands the importance of setting a welcoming tone for every appointment. She believes that this initial interaction can shape the patient experience and make a lasting impression.

Outside of work, Priscila enjoys DIY projects and spending quality time with her children. She loves exploring new places, especially her family’s hometown of Leon, Guanajuato, and is always open to discovering new shops and experiences around the Greater Memphis area.

Priscila values the supportive team environment at our office, noting that while everyone has their differences, the team works together to ensure our patients are happy and well cared for. What puts a smile on her face is hearing patients leave with praise for the team and knowing she has helped provide care that makes them want to return.
